GDD hosts China IC Manufacturing Annual Conference

The 2021 China IC Manufacturing Annual Conference & Supply Chain Innovation Forum was held in Guangzhou Development District (GDD) on Nov 2 and 3.

Experts and senior executives from renowned semiconductor enterprises, research institutes and industrial alliances discussed China's advanced IC manufacturing, packaging technology, equipment, spare parts, and tests. They also shared their insights on how to boost the development of the industrial chain via supply chain innovation. 

The Guangdong semiconductor and IC industrial investment sub-funds and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area scientific & technological innovation industrial investment fund were launched at the conference.

The 2021 China IC Manufacturing Annual Conference & Supply Chain Innovation Forum is held in GDD on Nov 2 and 3.

In addition, a Greater Bay Area semiconductor industry group and intelligent sensor industry group were also established, and plaques of Guangdong University of Technology's IC college and Xidian University's Guangzhou research institute were unveiled. 

The conference was hosted by the China Semiconductor Industry Association, Implementation and Management Office of National Major Science and Technology Projects (02) and China IC Innovation Alliance.

GDD has more than 120 IC upstream and downstream enterprises, the largest IC industrial base in South China and the most complete IC industrial chain in the Greater Bat Area. The output value of the local IC industrial chain is expected to reach 100 billion yuan ($16 billion) by 2025.
