Guangzhou Development District (GDD) Hospital has begun offering COVID-19 vaccinations to children aged 3 to 11.

Parents must bring their ID card or proof of household registration, download the app "粤苗" in advance and fill in information, cooperate with medical staff's inquiries of the students' medical histories and sign an informed consent form. The students can leave the hospital after a 30-minute medical observation.
According to disease control departments in multiple areas, clinical data showed that vaccines for people aged 3 to 17 is as safe as those for adults.
During the two weeks preceding Aug 29, 14 provinces in China had reported locally transmitted cases or asymptomatic carriers. Facing the complex epidemic situation, vaccination remains a significant measure for prevention and control.
