Outdoor music season strums a chord in Huangpu

The 2021 Huangpu Outdoor Music Season will put on an extravaganza of pop music, acappella, dances, Cantonese operas and Cantonese operatic songs through late November.

One of the 10 performances will be staged on Dajisha Island, three at Lyuzhou Square, three in Jingxia village, and three at Civic Square. Performers include local university students, singers, and bands as well as members of musical and Chinese opera associations.

A concert is held to celebrate the farmers' harvest on Dajisha Island as part of the 2021 Huangpu Outdoor Music Season.

Due to precautions, travelers from medium- and low-risk COVID-19 areas are forbidden from entry, and those from outside of Guangdong province have to present a negative nucleic test result taken within 48 hours. The number of on-site visitor will be capped and people can also view the live broadcast online.

The outdoor music festival has been hosted by the publicity department of the CPC Huangpu district committee annually since 2019. It aims at promoting culture among residents through gratis activities.
