Huangpu maps out five-year plan for information development

The 14th Five-Year Plan of the Information Development in Guangzhou's Huangpu District (2021-25) was recently released.

Huangpu will accelerate the construction and upgrading of the local information infrastructure including a national internet exchange center and an international digital hub as the foothold of its information development. By 2025, the district will realize a full 5G network coverage and 80 percent of local residents will use a 5G network.

The current cyber security system will be improved, and systems for data resource sharing and synergetic regional development will be established.

In addition, the district will make the development of core digital economy industries and innovative digital government services a primary focus for its information development as it strives to become a new highland in industrial digitalization and a benchmark in new-type smart city construction.

Huangpu further accelerates development such as offering one-stop digital government services.
