A Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Huangpu) Copyright Financial Service Platform was launched in Guangzhou's Huangpu district on Sept 30.
As the first of its kind in Guangdong province, the platform will bring together the copyright owners, copyright assessment institutions and financial institutions to offer financing and copyright trading services for enterprises, according to Chen Zewen, director of the Guangzhou Copyright Investment Service Center.

Seven financial institutions and seven Huangpu copyright enterprises signed agreements on a dozen cooperative projects worth more than 100 million yuan ($16 million). The projects covered many areas including cultural equipment manufacturing and import-export, movies, television and media, and virtual reality.
The launch of the platform is of great significance to the innovative development of regional copyrights and business environment optimization.
To date, there are more than 269 intellectual property rights service institutions in Huangpu. The district has offered a copyright support fund of 17.73 million yuan to 2,330 local enterprises since 2019.
