Key projects settle in Guangzhou-Foshan Industrial Park

A signing ceremony was held on Sept 28 for key projects that will settle in Guangzhou-Foshan (Fogang) Industrial Park in the Guangzhou-Qingyuan Special Economic Cooperation Zone.

Many of these projects are related to biomedicine. They include Sun Yat-sen University's medical innovation park, Guangzhou Xiangxue Pharmaceutical's production base, and BeBetter Med's innovative drug production base.

Other projects were related to new polymer materials and high-end intelligent manufacturing as well as household chemicals and cosmetics products.

As of now, the industrial park has brought in 102 projects with a total investment of 26.6 billion yuan ($4.1 billion). The total output value is estimated to surpass 40 billion yuan and taxes are expected to be 2.8 billion yuan.

So far this year, 34 projects valued at 15 billion yuan were signed at the industrial park, and 23 projects worth 10.3 billion yuan began construction.
