Zeiss to help improve youth eye health in Huangpu

German optical giant Carl Zeiss set up Zeiss Vision 001 in Guangzhou's Huangpu district on Sept 26.

The facility is located at the Zhitai Plaza in Guangzhou Science City. It will provide children and teenagers with science popularization, consultation and guidance for myopia prevention and control as well as eye health management in collaboration with government, school and community resources.

Peng Wei, president of Carl Zeiss China, said that the establishment of Zeiss Vision 001 is an attempt of Carl Zeiss to extend its business scope from advanced manufacturing to modern service sectors. The enterprises will bolster the facility into a demonstration base and innovation center that leads industrial development with new business modes and formats.
