Huangpu supports intl consumption center construction

A series of measures were recently released by Guangzhou's Huangpu district to support the construction of Guangzhou as an international consumption center.

New five-star shopping centers in the district will receive a one-time subsidy equal to 10 percent of project investment and the maximum amount won't exceed 50 million yuan ($8 billion).

Overseas renowned brands that set up their first Asia, Chinese mainland or Guangzhou store in Huangpu will be rewarded 30 percent of project investment, which should exceed 1 million yuan. The maximum reward for the first Asia, Chinese mainland or Guangzhou store will be 10 million yuan, 8 million yuan and 5 million yuan, respectively.

Huangpu releases a series of measures to support the construction of Guangzhou as an international consumption center.

During the validity of the policies, Huangpu will subsidize up to five shopping centers that spend more than 5 million yuan on renovation. The subsidy will amount to 30 percent of the renovation expenditures and won't exceed 5 million yuan.

National business development forums and eligible annual conferences of business associations held in Huangpu will be subsidized 30 percent of rent and installations to a maximum of 500,000 yuan. Provincial and municipal night livestreaming, shopping, food and fashion activities will be subsidized 30 percent of rent and installations to a maximum of 2 million yuan.
