The RCEP agreement elaborates the rules related to intellectual property rights (IPR) that provide case studies and experience related to the development of CSGKC, which is the only pilot zone of IPR use and protection reform in China, Peng said.

Pan Jiahua, former head of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences' Institute for Urban and Environmental Studies, said that CSGKC is a development model for future cities, and it needs to integrate low carbon and carbon neutrality into its planning.

Shi Guangming, vice president of Xidian University, suggested that the CSGKC accelerate the construction of industrial parks that combine production, academia and research under one roof.

CSGKC has made progress in building itself into a national knowledge center with global influence since its overall development plan (2020-35) was released one year ago.
