Huangpu to pioneer cross-provincial govt service processing

A total of 268 government services will be allowed for cross-provincial processing among Guangzhou, Beijing and Tianjian economic development zones.

An online signing ceremony was held on Aug 6 for the establishment of a Beijing-Tianjin-Guangzhou Economic Development Zone Government Service Reform, Innovation and Cooperation Alliance.

Nearly 90 percent of the government services eligible for cross-provincial processing are corporate affairs related to business registration, production operation, special licenses and human resources, which are expected to benefit more than 340,000 market entities in the three national economic development zones.

In addition to the connectivity of examination and approval systems, Guangzhou, Beijing and Tianjian economic development zones have established data security, processing procedures and liability traceability mechanisms.

For affairs that cannot be handled online, government staff will assist applicants with registrations and document submissions at self-service terminals or via phone or computer.

Service windows for the cross-provincial processing of government services.

Staff at the cross-provincial processing service windows can also verify the identity of applicants and help them mail materials to the examination and approval authorities in other cities. The results will be sent to applicants online or via EMS to save time.

In addition to cross-provincial government service processing, the Guangzhou, Beijing and Tianjian economic development zones will also explore cooperative exchanges, think tank sharing and synergetic industrial development.
