China Southern Power Grid ranks 91st on this year's 2021 Fortune Global 500 list.

Chinese bulk commodity giant Cedar Holdings Group made the list for fourth consecutive year. It placed 359th this year with an operating revenue of $33.8 billion and a profit of $49.6 million.

The American Fortune magazine ranks the world's top 500 enterprises annually based on revenue and net profit. The Global 500 is regarded as the most prestigious and authoritative grading of the world's largest companies and is used to comprehend development trends of the leading firms.

In addition to those two enterprises, Huangpu is home to many coporations and projects invested by Fortune Global 500 enterprises. For example, e-commerce giant JD, which ranked 59th on the list, has set up a South China logistics headquarters in the district.

Alibaba, which placed 63rd, plans to establish the national headquarters of AliHealth Pharmacy in Huangpu, while South Korean automaker Hyundai, ranking 83rd, is setting up its first overseas hydrogen fuel cell production and sales base there.

A main battlefield of Guangzhou's real economy and a bridgehead in scientific and technological innovation, Huangpu has attracted nearly 200 projects invested by Global 500 companies, which have propelled local high-quality development and increased the district's global influence.
