All results from the first round of mass nucleic acid testing, conducted on June 4 and 5 in Guangzhou's Huangpu district, came back negative on June 7. The speed with which the testing took place is testament to the contribution of local enterprises.
There are now 23 third-party institutions capable of running nucleic acid tests in Guangzhou, of which 21 are based in Huangpu.
In addition, the top five Guangzhou enterprises in terms of daily nucleic acid testing capability are all from Huangpu. They are Guangzhou KingMed Diagnostics Group, Guangzhou Huayin Health Medical Group, Guangzhou Da'an Clinical Laboratory Center, Guangzhou Hybribio Medical Laboratory, and Guangzhou Cntrix Med.

KingMed Diagnostics' daily test volume exceeded 350,000 test tubes on June 6, while open data showed that the world's top two third-party medical test institutions – Quest and Labcorp – recorded a respective daily test capability of 300,000 and 275,000 test tubes in the United States.
In addition to a central laboratory, KingMed Diagnostics has also set up four inflatable laboratories and three mobile laboratories in Guangzhou. Liang Yaoming, chairman and CEO of KingMed Diagnostics, noted that the enterprise may further increase its daily testing capability from 350,000 to 550,000, based on the situation on the ground.
