After Baihedong street and Zhongnan street in Guangzhou's Liwan district were classified as high-risk on June 2, a team from Huangpu district, including 10 doctors and 10 nurses, went to Baihedong street the same day to support the COVID-19 prevention and control work.
The Huangpu medical team's task is to carry out door-to-door inspections. They will work in Liwan district for over 14 days.
After receiving the request from Guangzhou municipal health commission, Huangpu district gathered its emergency medical team as soon as possible. It only took an afternoon to prepare 14 days' protective materials and daily necessities. The team members gathered to depart on the evening of June 2.
Zhong Yueying, a doctor from Yonghe Community Health Service Center, admired the medical personnel who supported Wuhan's epidemic prevention work last year. She is excited to apply what she has learned from medical practice to benefit society. "I have been involved in epidemic prevention work for a long time, so I'm confident about myself and I will try my best." Zhong said.
