7 Huangpu enterprises championed in national manufacturing industry

Ten Guangzhou enterprises have been selected as "champions of the national manufacturing industry" in specific areas of expertise; seven are based in Huangpu district.

The seven Huangpu entries are GRGBanking, CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding, Rutech, GSK CNC Equipment, Kingfa Sci & Tech, Shiyuan Electronic Technology, and Hexin Instruments.

Shiyuan Electronic Technology is a world leading supplier of liquid crystal display main control boards.

All of them have been devoted to one specific field in the manufacturing industry for a long time, and have created world-leading manufacturing technology. The market occupancy rate of their star products is among the world's top three.

The selection of the "champions of the national manufacturing industry" is based on the application of enterprises, the recommendation of municipal industry and information technology, and the review of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It encourages enterprises to focus on the innovation of one specific area, achieve key breakthrough, and enhance global competitiveness.

In recent years, Huangpu has increased the support for local manufacturing enterprises. Local "champion enterprises of the national manufacturing industry" will receive a one-time reward of 5 million yuan ($783,000), while "champion products of the national manufacturing industry" will be granted a one-off reward of 1 million yuan.
