Multiple Huangpu projects begin construction during May Day holiday

A raft of projects in Guangzhou's Huangpu district came under construction during the May Day holiday.

Construction of a collective property management center was launched west of Maogang Road in Shajinghuang village on May 1. The facility is located near the Huangpu Lin'gang Economic Zone, and boasts a prominent ecological environment. It will have a floor area of 90,000 square meters, offer supportive facilities to residents and feature smart and innovative industries to diversify the local economy.  

With an investment of 480 million yuan ($74.64 million), a leisure plaza came under construction in the core area of the comprehensive development zone for the historical culture of the Nanhai God Temple. Covering 11,000 sq m, the complex will have three aboveground floors and two underground floors to total 15,000 sq m of floor area.

Once operational by the end of 2022, the complex will offer one-stop service including shopping, leisure activities and entertainment. It will also organize temple fairs and showcase Maritime Silk Road and Lingnan culture.

In addition, construction of the initial area of the Duntouji urban renovation project in Xiagang sub-district began on May 1, while the science and technology exhibition hall of the youth community renovation project hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony during the holiday.
