New Huangpu center set to boost Bay Area scientific innovation

The scientific innovation exhibition hall of the Guangzhou International Innovation Driving Center recently entered trial operation.

With a total floorage of 720,000 square meters, the innovation driving center is located at China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, and will focus on the development of biological health, new-generation information technology and the headquarters economy.

It features one platform, two bases and three industrial centers in a low-density open space with gardens, water areas and parks. A 200-meter office building is set to become a new landmark in Huangpu district. Supportive facilities include apartments, a business block, a hotel and an exhibition center.

Guangzhou International Innovation Driving Center.

The center, which integrates production, academia, research, exhibition and sales, will offer a high-standard scientific innovation platform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and boost regional investment attraction.

A main battlefield for Greater Bay Area scientific innovation, the CSGKC has so far brought in 165 major projects. It is home to 23,500 registered market entities that generate a total output value of more than 554 billion yuan ($85.66 billion).
