Cornerstone laid for Changping community exhibition center

The cornerstone was laid on April 18 for the exhibition center of Changping community in Changling sub-district.

The exhibition center will feature sand tables and billboards that showcase the history of Changping and its evolution amid the urban innovation tide.

Located in the core area of Changling sub-district, Changping community borders Tianlu Lake Forest Park in the west, Youma Mountain in the east and Xianjiang Park in the south. Not only is it at the intersection of the Shenyang-Haikou Expressway and Guangzhou-Shantou Highway, but it also has access to Guangzhou Metro Line 21 and Huangpu Tram Line 1.

The community will be built into a modern and livable urban area with Lingnan (Cantonese) characteristics. The residential zone will feature high-quality living space, public facilities, parks and green areas, while the business zone will house a shopping mall, a leisure experience center, a cinema, a creative salon, a business block, and an art and culture center.

In addition, the community will also offer open, smart and shared office areas to develop a high-tech R&D and headquarters economy.

The urban renovation of the six old villages in Changling has made great progress this year. As of April 19, 1,476 old residences totaling 573,000 square meters had been torn down. The subdistrict will eventually transform the space into a new-type urban area that integrates high-end residences, natural spaces, and healthcare and get-away facilities.
