Updated : 2021-04-07

The temporary COVID-19 vaccine injection site at the Huangpu Sports Center was put into use with a maximum shot-delivery capacity of 6,000 per day.

Chinese mainland residents, regardless of location of their household registration and where they live, can receive vaccinations there without reservation from Monday through Sunday.

The temporary site is operated by the Guangzhou Development District Hospital under the guidance of the Huangpu health bureau. Covering 1,520 square meters, it has different areas for form filling, consultation, registration and vaccine injection.

In addition to the temporary site, the district now has 30 fixed vaccination sites and is sending mobile vaccination teams to large enterprises with more than 5,000 employees, industrial parks and universities.

As of April 5, Huangpu had administered COVID-19 vaccine to 181,100 people. The daily vaccination capacity is up to nearly 40,000 doses, with around 240,000 doses delivered every week. Total shots delivered are expected to reach 3 million in three months.
