Exhibition center opens for Xinxi urban renovation project

The exhibition center for the urban renovation project of Xinxi village opened on March 28.

Located in Yuzhu of Guangzhou's Huangpu district, Xixin boasts convenient transport with access to three expressways, high-speed rail lines, and two metro lines. The village, however, is home to many old residences and lacks supportive facilities to support the rapid urban development.

Its renovation project plans four relocated apartments, a collective property management, and high-rise tower buildings in the Initial Relocated Zone (Land Lot 5), where the Xinxi Warehouse, Sishe Barbecue Stall and Happy Farm have already been demolished.

Moreover, a primary school with 36 classrooms, a commercial block and a China Resources Edifice are also in the pipeline for Xinxi, which is envisioned as a new center in Huangpu integrating business, leisure, education and residences.

Guangzhou's first MixC shopping mall will settle in the village with an office area of 200,000 square meters, and business area of 170,000 sq m. Once operational, it is expected to generate an output value of 20.5 billion yuan ($3.12 million).
