Neighborhood center to be built on Changzhou Island

A neighborhood center will be built on Changzhou Island to improve the living quality of local residents, unleash the potential of tourist consumption and attract the settlement of high-end talents.

The project will cover 3.11 hectares south of North Jinzhou Road, north of Zhongshan Park Front Road and east of Guandong Road. Construction will be divided into three phases at a cost of 561.8 million yuan ($85.83 million).

The first phase will consist of the neighborhood center, a parking lot, youth apartment, outdoor natatorium and waterborne amusement park, and will open by the end of 2022.

In the second phase, the current supermarket will be transformed into a government service center, while a military training field will be transformed into a hotel. A nursing school will be converted into a youth palace in the third phase.
