Updated : 2021-03-26

Guangzhou's Huangpu district recently launched a mass inoculation drive to build up herd immunity against COVID-19.

Chinese mainland residents who live or work in Huangpu and are aged between 18 and 59 can receive free vaccination by reservation.

There are now 28 vaccination sites across the district, which are capable of delivering 30,000 doses daily. Guangzhou Development District Hospital, the largest of its kind, is able to give 4,000 to 5,000 shots per day.

As of now, Huangpu has administered more than 80,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, and the number will reach 3 million over the next three months, according to an official from the Huangpu health bureau.
