Guangdong Second TCM Hospital being expanded in Huangpu

Construction of a traditional Chinese medicine inheritance and innovation project will be completed at the Huangpu campus of Guangdong Second TCM Hospital in June 2023.

The project will be built to Grade-III Class-A standards and will feature a floor area of 56,123 square meters, 41,072 sq m aboveground and 15,263 sq m underground.

A 25-floor TCM technology center and a seven-floor TCM pharmaceutical center will be built southeast of the hospital's first phase, while the corridor between the current medical technology inpatient building and the disabled rehabilitation center will be demolished.

The 100 patient beds at the medical technology inpatient building will be moved to the medical technology inpatient building, making room for medical technology, testing, radiography, hospitalization and disinfection rooms.

In total, the TCM inheritance and innovation project will have 500 patient beds, 714 staff members and 336 underground parking stalls and will be able to receive 1,490 patients daily.
