Yang Shoutao, an official with the Guangzhou Development District Administrative Committee, noted that GDD's cooperation with Israel has led to phased achievements in the biomedicine sector. As of now, the Sino-Israeli biomedicine cooperation platform has contacted nearly 200 domestic and overseas projects, of which 20 were attracted for settlement.

As a national pilot zone for biomedical policy innovation, Guangzhou International Bio Island will continue to promote industry-university-research cooperation of international resources, create a business environment in line with international standards, and establish itself as a world top-tier biomedical and biosafety R&D center.
