Huangpu FTZ taps into bonded automobile storage business

Guangzhou Huangpu Free Trade Zone became the first in Guangdong province to process the bonded storage of imported automobiles on March 16.

Import-related taxes can be paid before their transportation for sale in domestic markets. This model has the ability to greatly alleviate cash flow burdens on enterprises, and foster a new growth driver for the Huangpu FTZ.

The FTZ, which officially came into operation on Feb 1, is striving to become a global warehouse, a global bonded maintenance center, a bonded R&D center, and a bonded exhibition and trade center for artwork.

To date, it has already attracted a bonded liquid crystal display screen maintenance project, a bonded artwork exhibition project and a JD's cross-border e-commerce project.
