Huangpu unveils top 10 livelihood projects for 2021

The top 10 livelihood projects for 2021 in Guangzhou's Huangpu district have been unveiled at the ninth session of the 1st Huangpu District People's Congress.

This year, Huangpu will add 600 hospital beds and provide education to another 12,700 students. Local kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools will be equipped with 1,600 professional security guards. 

Construction of the Nangang and Yuzhu community health service centers will be completed. All 17 sub-districts and towns across the district will be covered by comprehensive senior service centers.

Huangpu will build three pocket-sized parks in 2021.

Moreover, 38.5 kilometers of ecological belts, 5 km of greenways, and three pocket-sized parks will be built, as will five cultural centers and libraries. Guangzhou Maritime Museum will open to visitors.

Construction of Huafeng Road and Yiheng Road and renovation of First Yuangang Road, Second Yuangang Road and Third Yuangang Road will also be completed. Water supply facilities in old residential communities will be renovated, and 750,000 square meters of relocation homes will be put in place.

A total of 400 million yuan ($61.83 million) will be allocated to boost employment and entrepreneurship.
