WeRide tests out 'Mini Robobus' in Guangzhou

Updated : 2021-01-28

China's leading autonomous driving company WeRide launched its Mini Robobus for testing on Guangzhou International Bio Island on Jan 27 and the public can sign up for experience.

Despite having no steering wheel, accelerator, or brake, the Mini Robobus is capable of navigating all kinds of complex urban traffic conditions relying on the one-package software and hardware that has been independently developed by WeRide.

The vehicle can perceive surrounding road conditions 250 meters ahead of the road with accurate identification of driving lanes, traffic lights and traffic signs, as well as pedestrians and other vehicles. The maximum driving speed can reach 40 kilometers per hour.
