The 13th Luogang Xiangxue Cultural Tourism Festival kicked off on Dec 29 at Luogang Xiangxue Park in the Huangpu district of Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province, with a bevy of exhibitions, culinary delicacies and leisure activities on offer.

More than 4,000 plum trees in the park are now in early blossom and will come into full bloom on Jan 6-15. Their white petals float in the wind with a wonderful fragrance, providing an aromatic experience for visitors that enhances the park.

In addition to admiring the flowers, visitors can also sample plum-blossom delicacies and visit an exhibition themed on Huangpu's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

A load of local specialties and cultural-creative products are on display at the park, alongside great local food brought along by a dozen Huangpu enterprises.

Visitors that take photos and collect stamps at designated sites can exchange them for plum blossom-related cultural-creative products.

A short video competition is also soliciting for productions related to the festival. The content can vary from sightseeing to tourism development, urban improvement and science popularization.
