Haige Communications in Guangzhou's Huangpu district will partner with China Transport Telecommunications and Information Center to apply the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS-3) terminal in transportation under a cooperation agreement signed on Nov 23.
China declared the official commissioning of the BDS-3 on July 31, becoming the third country in the world to independently own a global navigation satellite system. The improved positioning and telecommunications capability brought by BDS-3 will make transportation more precise and intelligent.
Haige Communications is one of the earliest Chinese enterprises that engaged in the navigation sector. It boasts a whole industrial chain layout covering chips, antennas, modules, terminals, systems, and operation.
A cooperation agreement is signed between Haige Communications and China Transport Telecommunications and Information Center on Nov 23.
According to the agreement, Haige Communications will provide a new-generation transportation supervision solution for China Transport Telecommunications and Information Center based on the BDS-3, artificial intelligence, and big data analysis.
For instance, it will increase the transportation management efficiency through the real-time positioning of vehicles, as well as the real-time monitoring of the vehicle, driver, and object status. It will be the first time that drivers and vehicles can be matched via BDS-3 and 5G videos.
The two parties will strive to realize telecommunications-navigation integrated service in areas without internet coverage and space-air-ground integrated transport service, advancing the application of BDS-3 in international transportation.
