A forum themed around IT innovations takes place at China Software CBD on Nov 9.

UnionTech Software Technology Co Ltd and Tianjin Phytium Information Technology Co Ltd disclosed their R&D achievements in recent years. Of note, the former has witnessed the rough formation of an operating system ecosystem, with the number of apps in its app store exceeding 1,500 and the daily download volume exceeding 10,000 last week.

To boost the local development of innovations in the IT industry, Huangpu has released 10 supportive measures covering settlement, platforms, industrial funds, competitions, and conferences. A reward of up to 10 million yuan ($1.5 million) will be given to an enterprise above designated size that records operating revenue of more than 50 million yuan with a year-on-year increase of more than 10 percent.

China Software CBD, the venue of the forum, is a significant platform for Huangpu to develop innovations in the IT industry. After over two years of construction, it is now home to a large number of leading enterprises including Baidu Apollo, KylinSoft, and Clouderwork.

Once fully operational, China Software CBD will house more than 500 enterprises and 40,000 talents. It will prompt upstream and downstream enterprises to generate an output value of 200 billion yuan and contribute over 1 billion yuan in tax revenue.
