Updated : 2020-11-10

A government service sub-center of Guangzhou's Huangpu district was recently opened in Guangzhou Science City, which will benefit the hundreds of thousands of residents and more than 10,000 market entities in its proximity.

The facility, which is accessible 24 hours a day and seven days a week, can process 150 items related to public security, social insurance, civil, industry and commerce, taxation, water and electricity, loan and financing affairs, as well as 1,021 other errands, such as inquiries and printing. There are staff members available to offer one-on-one guidance during working hours, while robots will provide reception, consulting, and guiding services the rest of the time.

A self-service zone is available inside the facility for the 34 most frequently used public security affairs related to household registration, traffic, and exit-entry affairs. People can have their fingerprint collected, undergo a smart physical examination, and have a driver's license made at the self-service terminals. The service center boasts a 5G wifi network that powers its internet and private network, ensuring minimal time delays, safety, and stability.

In addition, the sub-center also houses a "financial supermarket," which offers a dozen low-interest credit products tailored for small and micro-sized enterprises. Adjacent to the financial supermarket is a smart micro hall for all kinds of taxation services, such as invoice claims, social security payment inquiries, real-name information collection, as well as document printing and sealing.
