Public opinions solicited on Yuzhou Tunnel plan revision

The Revision on the Detailed Regulatory Plan of the Yuzhou Tunnel was recently released to solicit public opinions.

The document calls for partial revision on five planned management units along the tunnel, as well as 38 planned land boundaries.

The south-north tunnel will run 2.69 kilometers across Guangzhou's Haizhu, Tianhe, and Huangpu districts. The speed limitation of the main line is 50 km/h, while that of the ramp is 30 to 40 km/h.

Once operational, the tunnel will strengthen the connection between Guangzhou Science City, Guangzhou International Innovation City, Guangzhou International Financial City, Yuzhu Core Area, as well as other scientific and technological innovation clusters.

Of note, the travel time between Pazhou and Huangpu Lingang Economic Zone will be cut to five minutes.
