Three major roads in Guangzhou's Huangpu district have recently opened to traffic.

With an investment of 71 million yuan ($11 million), the dual four-lane Central Wenchong Road, which spans 1.3 kilometers from East Huangpu Road to Hulin Road, was put into use on Oct 28. Residents of Phase I and II of Wenchong relocation community can now reach the Wal-Mart business circle in seven to eight minutes by walking, while those in Phase IV and VII of the community can reach Hua Yuan Restaurant without having to detour on Shihua Road.

The dual six-lane North Shihua Road Flyover opened on Oct 30. Stretching 3.78 km from North Fengle Road to Guande Bridge, it will ease the traffic congestion on North Shihua Road, Hulin Road, and North Fenglu Road.
