Huangpu residents will be able to reach Foshan, Dongguan, and Huizhou via subway when metro line 28 comes into operation.
The main route of the east-west metro line 28 runs through Foshan, Guangzhou, and Dongguan. Its Guangzhou section will connect Liwan, Haizhu, Huangpu, and Zengcheng, while covering key areas like Baietan, Pazhou, Guangzhou's Second Central Business District, and the Eastern Coastal Development Belt.
The feeder of metro line 28 will start from Xintang Station, pass through Gualyu New Area in Zengcheng district, and stretch further to Huizhou. The maximum speed of the metro will be up to 160 kilometers per hour.
After the metro line opens, Huangpu residents will be able to reach Foshan, the hometown of martial arts, ceramics, and Cantonese Opera. Its local famous attractions include Foshan Ancestral Temple, Xiqiao Mountain, and Ancient Nanfeng Kiln.
In addition, Dongguan, which is known as the "Factory of the World," entices travelers with attractions like Songshan Lake, Keyuan Garden, Yuehui Garden, and Guanyin Mountain National Forest Park.
Huizhou, which is an important home for the Hakka ethnic group, is known for scenic spots like Huizhou West Lake, Luofu Mountain, and Nankun Mountain.
