Huangpu, Conghua to build industrial cooperation zone

Guangzhou's Huangpu and Conghua districts will team up to build an industrial cooperation zone comprised of Mingzhu, Minle, and Taiping areas.

The 1,000-mu (67-hectare) Mingzhu area covers the Mingzhu Industrial Park in Conghua. It will develop the Southern Beauty Valley that highlights the integrated development of biomedicine and cosmetic medicine.

Located near the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway, the 3,000-mu Minle area will boast a manufacturing base for the spare parts of new energy vehicles.

The 12-square-kilometer Taiping area is located in the south of Taiping town. As an extension zone of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, the area will be built into a demonstration zone for city-industry integration that features scientific and technological innovation, international cooperation, as well as an ecological living environment.

Construction of Gaolu Road and the Conghua-Huangpu Expressway will boost the connectivity in the industrial cooperation zone.

The industrial cooperation zone is expected to address the unbalanced development in Guangzhou and propel the city's high-quality development relying on the respective advantages of Huangpu and Conghua.
