The detailed plan for the Scientific and Educational Zone of the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) has been released and is soliciting public opinions.

A southern gateway of CSGKC, the Scientific and Educational Zone is about a 50-minute drive from downtown Guangzhou and has easy access to the Guangzhou-Heyuan Expressway. According to the plan, the zone will be comprised of a Kaifang Avenue Development Axis, a Pinggang Vibrancy and Co-sharing Axis, a Pinggang Comprehensive Service Core, two Public Exchange Centers, a Business Culture Cluster, a Scientific and Educational Innovation Cluster, as well as two Associated Services Clusters.

Of particular note, the Scientific and Educational Innovation Cluster will bring in 14 graduate schools, as well as provide them with sports and culture facilities.

The zone will be built into an innovative talent education center and a high-end vocational skill training base in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It will boast three functions, including higher education, scientific and technological R&D, as well as vocational training.
