Huangpu firm honored for anti-epidemic contribution

SINOMACH Intelligence Technology Co Ltd in Guangzhou's Huangpu district was honored on Sept 8 in Beijing because of its contribution to the country's fight against the COVID-19 epidemic.

Located in Guangzhou Science City, SINOMACH primarily engages in the R&D, production, tests and consultations about industrial robots, intelligent equipment and their key components.

In response to the epidemic, the company started from scratch to develop face mask production equipment in early February. Around 150 staff were deployed for R&D of mask machines in a temporary rented plant covering more than 1,000 square meters.

The team managed to complete 530 component drawings in three days and went on to develop a mask machine in 10 days – producing 100 sets of the machines in 20 days and 200 in 30 days.

The delivery ceremony takes place for the 100th mask machine produced by SINOMACH Intelligence Technology.

 As of May 31, SINOMACH had produced 751 mask machines, ranking first among enterprises directly under the central government.

Its mask machines are now widely used by more than 70 mask manufacturers including China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation and Kingfa Sci & Tech Co Ltd, providing solid support for China's fight against COVID-19.
