Hundreds of Macao students wrapped up their internships in Guangzhou's Huangpu district on Aug 29.

Of these students, half were from domestic "Double First-Class" universities, 40 percent from renowned Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan universities, as well as one percent from international universities among the top 100 QS World University Rankings.

Twenty-five Huangpu enterprises, public institutions, and social organizations offered 140 jobs to the Macao students. The number of students participating in the internship initiative quadrupled from that of last year, while the jobs offered tripled from 2019.

Huangpu offered free accommodation and a monthly internship subsidy of 3,000 yuan to the students, who were also invited to take part in weekend activities on patriotic education, interpretations of the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as folk cultural experiences.
