With an investment of 363.21 million yuan ($53 million), construction of a National Project for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Inheritance and Innovation began at the Huangpu campus of Guangdong Second TCM Hospital on Aug 28.
Construction of the project begins on Aug 28.
The Grade-III Class-A facility will feature a floor area of 56,123 square meters and offer 500 patient beds. It will be comprised of a 25-floor TCM technology center and a seven-floor TCM pharmaceutical center.

Upon completion in December 2022, the project will become a regional TCM diagnosis and treatment center for refractory diseases, a TCM academic inheritance and talent cultivation center, a TCM innovation research and technology service center, as well as a TCM achievement transformation and promotion center.
