Huangpu launches Scientific & Technological Activity Week

The launch ceremony of the Huangpu Scientific & Technological Activity Week was held at the Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on Aug 24.

A total of 39 activities will be held throughout Aug 29 to popularize science with the public, as well as to showcase local scientific and technological achievements.

Primary and secondary students will embark on a 25-kilometer industrial tour that consists of the Guangzhou Meteorological Satellite Ground Station, the Guangdong Herbal Tea Museum, the Guangdong Uniasia Beauty & Cosmetic Museum, and the Guangzhou Coca Cola Museum.

The 4th Science and Technology Expo & Guangzhou Science City Artificial Intelligence Sci-Tech Innovation Enterprise Summer Camp and Teenager Robot Competition of Huangpu District will be held at Guangzhou Erzhong Suyuan Experimental School.

In addition, local enterprises will organize activities, such as science popularization of electronic and electrical products, as well as the Meiji ice-cream carnival. Their employees will also receive emergency rescue training.

During the Huangpu Scientific & Technological Activity Week, 21 municipal science popularization bases across the district will be open to the public for free.
