Huawei ICT College to settle in Huangpu

A Huawei Information and Communications Technology (ICT) College will be established in Guangzhou College of Commerce under the cooperation agreement signed between Kangda Group and Huawei Technologies on Aug 20.

A cooperation agreement is signed between Kangda Group and Huawei Technologies on Aug 20.

Located in Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, Kangda Group is committed to the "Universities + Leading Enterprises" talent cultivation model, relying on its Guangzhou College of Commerce and Kanghong Science and Technology Park.

Under the cooperation agreement, it will cooperate with Huawei in discipline development, teacher training, digital talent cultivation standard compilation, entrepreneurship, employment, internships, as well as smart campus and industrial park construction.

Huawei's international vocational certification system will be integrated into the teaching process, while the first Pearson VUE international test center will be built in Huangpu district to cultivate innovation and application-oriented talents for the ICT sector.

In addition, the upstream and downstream enterprises of Huawei will be encouraged to settle in Kanghong Science and Technology Park, which is envisioned as a demonstration hub for Huawei industry-education integration.

The Huawei ICT College will complete hardware construction and teaching resources arrangements by the end of this year. It will begin enrollment in 2021.
