Nanfang Daily: Huangpu speeds up urban renovation process

Updated : 2020-07-23

Guangzhou's Huangpu district has released a document on a series of 10 measures to push forward the renovation of the local urban landscape, Nanfang Daily reported on July 22.

The 10 measures have attached more importance in the reform of planning and natural resources management.

The document noted that local communities can conduct partial adjustments to the layout of construction land to better meet the needs of the projects as long as they do not cross the ecological protection red line, permanent basic farmland line, and urban development boundary.

The release of the document has also made the approval process for relevant projects more convenient. For example, a cutting license is no longer needed for cutting down a few trees on a private plot or near private houses except when cutting down ancient or rare trees.
