3 Huangpu companies make China's top 500 list for market value

Guangzhou KingMed Diagnostics Group Co Ltd has undertaken nearly 1/10th of the COVID-19 nucleic acid tests in China by the end of June.

The latest list of the top 500 companies with the highest market value in China was recently released, of which 60 companies in Guangdong province were included, six more than that in the end of 2019.

The overall market value of Guangdong companies on the list increased over the 2019 value by 1.82 trillion yuan to 14.77 trillion yuan in 2020.

Three companies from Guangzhou's Huangpu district were included in the list, namely Guangzhou Shiyuan Electronic Technology Company Limited, Guangzhou KingMed Diagnostics Group Co Ltd, and Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech Co Ltd.

Guangzhou Shiyuan Electronic Technology Company Limited, which is mainly involved in the design, development, and sales of LCD main boards, smart interactive panels, medical devices, and related smart hardware, has achieved a revenue of 17.05 billion yuan in 2019.

Guangzhou KingMed Diagnostics Group Co Ltd has gone through steady growth in the first quarter of 2020, as its revenue in the first quarter of 2020 amounted to 1.17 billion yuan. The company has undertaken nearly 1/10th of the COVID-19 nucleic acid tests in China by the end of June.

As another leading company in biomedicine, Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech Co Ltd has witnessed rapid growth in its revenue in the first quarter of 2020, with the number climbing by 21.92 percent year-on-year to 551.69 million yuan.
