Three new branches of Huangpu Public Library have opened to the public in succession recently, benefiting local residents.

The branch at Changling community covers a building area of 730 square meters, of which the reading area spans 300 sq m. It has utilized a wooden structure to create an elegant, simple, and warm atmosphere. It has been divided into various functions, such as the special area for teenagers, the area for e-books, as well as the communication area for painting, calligraphy, and art.

The Huangpu community branch is now the largest among all library branches as it has a building area of 875 sq m. It is expected to become a popular place for locals as it integrates various functions like community service, cultural communication, and youth entrepreneurship.

In addition, the branch in Hetangxia village is the first of its kind in the district featuring services for both seniors and teenagers. It covers an overall building area of 500 sq m.

By the end of June 2020, Huangpu has set up 37 branches of its public library and 13 service stations in the area.
