GDD company builds online exhibition booths for companies during Canton Fair

The online exhibition booths that Guangzhou Light and Magic Co Ltd has built for companies during the ongoing Canton Fair.

Based in Guangzhou Development District (GDD), Guangzhou Light and Magic Co Ltd has made contributions to the ongoing 127th edition of the China Import and Export Fair by helping companies design their online exhibition booths.

The biannual event, which is also known as the Canton Fair, opened online on June 15 due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic. It is the first time in its 63-year history that it has been held as a digital fair.

"The development of technologies like cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence (AI) has offered strong support for the digital transformation of companies," said Xie Wei'en, chief operating officer of Guangzhou Light and Magic Co Ltd.

Digital twin technology was used by the company to help companies in GDD like Kingfa Sci and Tech Co Ltd build online exhibition platforms. 

The platforms, which integrate AI, 5G, and 3D technologies, allow users to view the products and the companies online, as well as carry out online business discussions.

The number of GDD companies participating in the 127th Canton Fair has increased by 50 percent compared to the previous edition.
