Series of activities held to celebrate 96th anniversary of Huangpu Military Academy's establishment

A series of themed activities to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the establishment of Huangpu Military Academy started at the former site of Huangpu Military Academy in Guangzhou's Huangpu district on June 16.

The activities included a painting and calligraphy exhibition to mark both the 96th anniversary of the establishment of Huangpu Military Academy and the 75th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1931-45), as well as a tree planting activity.

The painting and calligraphy exhibition showcased the heroic deeds by outstanding graduates from the Huangpu Military Academy and the history of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression through 30 excellent works.

The exhibition is opened to the public for free until July 16.
