Applications accepted on provincial rewards for manufacturing anti-epidemic products

The Guangzhou municipal industry and information technology bureau released an announcement on May 21 regarding the application process for provincial rewards for companies expanding the manufacturing scale for products used in the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Companies set up and registered in Guangzhou producing mask machines, protective suit plodders, negative pressure ambulances, and key accessories that are urgently needed can apply for the reward, which is up to 30 million yuan ($4.19 million) per company.

Rewards of up to 500,000 yuan are available for companies that have undertaken dispatcher tasks from the country or the province.

To be eligible for the rewards, the products should have been delivered from Feb 2 to April 20, 2020.

Mask machines and protective suit plodders should have been delivered to purchasers with qualities for producing anti-epidemic products, while negative pressure ambulances should only be sold to medical institutions, such as hospitals and centers for disease control and prevention.

In addition, only products sold to Chinese purchasers can apply for the reward, while those exported to overseas areas are not eligible for the rewards.

The application period for the rewards has started from 15:00 on May 22 and will end at 17:00 on May 30.
