Construction for Jiangjun Mountain area gains progress

The construction of the Jiangjun Mountain area in Guangzhou's Huangpu district has gained progress as the land for the site has been returned to the district during a signing ceremony held on May 20 between Huangpu district and its current owner.

The area is located on a key node in the Guangzhou-Hong Kong cooperation zone for smart manufacturing, with a construction area of 563,000 square meters, as well as a building area of 2.73 million sq m. 

It is expected that an overall investment of more than 10 billion yuan ($1.4 billion) will be devoted in the transformation and development of the area, establishing an innovation industrial park of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Digital economy industries, such as information technology, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, new energy, and new materials, will be introduced to the area to turn it into a technological innovation hub and a cluster for high-end headquarters in the Greater Bay Area.
