The Guangzhou municipal development and reform commission has released the second batch of projects in emerging industries winning subsidies for industrial development in March.
A total of 14 projects from Huangpu district were listed among the second batch, winning an overall subsidy of 45.63 million yuan ($6.52 million), accounting for 38 percent of the total project number in Guangzhou, ranking first among all districts.
Among all 14 projects, two are related to the biomedicine industry, one to the new generation of information technology, and two to public service platforms.
The development and reform commission of Huangpu district has been active in guiding local companies to apply for the subsidy, promoting the clustering and development of emerging industries in the district.
