Huangpu offers QR codes for companies to boost innovation, entrepreneurship

The first batch of eight customized quick response (QR) codes in Guangdong province for eight companies in Guangzhou's Huangpu district debuted on May 13.

Making customized QR codes for local companies has been one of the innovative measures carried out by Huangpu in pushing forward the reform of the local business environment as the code covers a variety of information about the company, including its basic information and development process.

Companies with QR codes can scan the code and directly log into the online platform if they want to apply for certificates, such as employment permits, construction land use permits, and residence permits.

Huangpu plans to select 100 companies among all local companies to offer QR codes in the next two years.

"We will first choose major companies and fast-growing 'gazelle' companies in Huangpu," said Shan Ningwei, director from Huangpu administrative service management center. "Yet, we also value the development potential for companies."
