Huangpu company launches country's largest early cancer detection project

Burning Rock Biotech announced the start of its pan-cancer early detection project on May 7, which is the largest scale research of its kind in China.

Burning Rock Biotech, which specializes in next-generation sequencing diagnostics solutions for precision medicine in oncology in Guangzhou's Huangpu district, was founded in 2014.

Its research project is expected to cover more than 14,000 subjects, carrying out cancer detection by simply drawing blood and analyzing biomarkers, such as circulating tumor cells and circulating tumor DNA.

At present, Burning Rock has teamed with several advanced clinical research institutes in China, carrying out about 20 research projects on early cancer detection for nine types of cancers.
